This morning while listening to my ipod shuffle, I heard Hillsong's "Hosanna" song and couldn't help but blog about it. If you have the volume turned up on your computer, you'll hear the song playing as the first song on my blog 'playlist'.
My friend Becki shared that around palm Sunday this last year, her 2 little boys had palm branches waving them around the house and yelling, "Hosanna!" What a sweet picture she will always cherish.
It may not be Palm Sunday or Easter, but if you can take just a few minutes, please ponder these lyrics with me--close your eyes and jump into the picture. See the king of glory....ask him to break your heart for what breaks His...
I see the king of glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, The whole earth shakes
I see his love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing, The people sing
Hosanna
Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith, With selfless faith
I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, We're on our knees
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into Eternity
Hosanna in the highest
